TAA offers affordable housing training in March

TAA is sponsoring two UPCS Inspection Protocol Training seminars, in Houston and Fort Worth, and an HTC Compliance Roundtable in Houston in March.

TAA is sponsoring valuable affordable housing training seminars in March, including two UPCS Inspection Protocol Training seminars and an HTC Compliance Roundtable.

UPCS Inspection Protocol Training will be held on March 10 in Fort Worth and on March 12 in Houston. Sponsored by TAA and featuring Michael Gantt from The Inspection Group, UPCS training will:

  • define the five inspectable areas and their proportional scoring significance
  • explain how the inspection process works, what to expect, and your rights and responsibilities, and
  • teach you how to prioritize defects with realistic and inexpensive remedies that work for improving your scores.

Training is from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Registration is available for both TAA members and non-members and fees range from $100-$120 and include lunch.

A half-day HTC Compliance Roundtable will be held in Houston on March 26. The HTC Compliance Roundtable is designed specifically for those involved in the compliance process and gives compliance managers and property supervisors the opportunity to discuss real issues with TDHCA staff.

The HTC Compliance Roundtable is 9 a.m.-noon, and fees are $45-$55. The seminar is available to both TAA members and non-members and will be held at the Norris Conference Center in Houston. Register today in the Calendar section of www.taa.org or call 512/479-6252 for more information.
