The Texas Apartment Association Education Foundation (TAAEF) is excited to announce the launch of our 2025 Be the Next Room to Grow Ambassador video challenge – a unique opportunity to showcase your journey, inspire others, and be recognized for your dedication.

For full contest details and to enter, visit www.taaef.org starting on October 9-25, 2024. Let’s show the world the amazing opportunities within the Texas apartment industry!

What is the Room to Grow Campaign?

The Room to Grow campaign aims to highlight the real stories of individuals who have found success in the Texas apartment industry. By featuring industry professionals, from maintenance, onsite and corporate team members, to supplier partners, we’re shining a light on the diverse and fulfilling career opportunities in the rental housing industry.

What is the Be the Next Challenge?

The Be the Next Room to Grow Ambassador video challenge invites employees with five years of experience or less in the Texas apartment industry to submit a short video, 1-3 minutes in length. This is your chance to tell the world why you love your job, the skills you’ve developed, and how you’ve grown both professionally and personally. If selected as a winner, you’ll have the opportunity to be featured as a Room to Grow ambassador, plus attend the 2025 TAA ONE Conference & Expo, May 7-9 in Houston, and gain peer recognition – along with other fantastic prizes.

Who Can Enter?

All part-time or full-time employees working in the Texas apartment industry, including supplier partners, are eligible to enter, as long as you have five years or less experience and are 18 years or older.

Key Dates to Remember:

  • Submissions Accepted: October 9 – 25, 2024
  • Online Voting: November 18 – 20, 2024
  • Winner Announced: December 4, 2024

How to Enter:

It’s simple! Record a 1-3 minute video sharing your story, along with your name, job title, current company, and what you’ve learned in the rental housing industry. We’d also love to hear what advice you would give someone considering a career in this field. Once your video is ready, submit it at www.taaef.org starting on October 9, 2024.

How Will Winners Be Chosen?

We’re looking for three winners, one from each category: maintenance, onsite & corporate teams, and supplier partners. An independent selection committee will review all submissions, choose finalists, and open the voting to the public from November 18 – 20, 2024. Finalists are also encouraged to promote their video across their network to gather votes!
